Shane Smith
FOUNDER, WRITER, and ANIMATOR
Shane Smith is a writer and animator from Mukilteo, Washington. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 2011 to chase his dreams of creating his own 2D animated show. He has animated a music video, show intros, Nickelodeon bumpers, social media ads, and much of his own content. He currently lives with his wife, Chelsea Smith, in Huntington Beach, California.
Chelsea Smith
PRODUCER and VISUAL DEVELOPMENT ARTIST
Chelsea Smith is an illustrator with experience in 2D animation. Originally from south Orange County, California, she earned her bachelor’s in Illustration from California State University Long Beach in 2019. Her experience in illustration ranges from children’s books to animation backgrounds and design. She never saw herself as a leader but noticed that life kept continuously putting her in leadership roles. Because of this, she’s adaptive, has a good sense of what works and what doesn’t, where to invest and how. Her path in art has been multifaceted, leading her to experience many different roles. She’s currently embracing her most exciting role yet: Producer. She currently lives with her husband Shane Smith and two cat babies in Huntington Beach, California. In her free time she’s climbing boulders at the gym, playing games with friends, imagining her next travel destination and working on a little story about a cute green dragon.
Mykal Williams
PRODUCTION MANAGER and WRITER
Mykal Williams is a writer, musician, and content creator born on August 29, 1994. He lives in Los Angeles, California working in TV animation for studios such as Titmouse Inc. and Disney TVA. He has also been involved with many online projects including: web comics, video game live streams, YouTube channels, and a crowdfunded anime pilot.
Jesse Smith
COMPOSER
Jesse Smith is an actor, writer, and composer from Seattle, Washington. He has composed two original musicals, Innocence and The Crooked Woods of Jasmer's Creek, and a musical adaptation of Don Giovanni, all brought into production under the funding of his school, Cornish College of the Arts. He has also composed music for other productions, including musicals, web series, and social media ads.
ART DIRECTOR
Anh Bui
Anh Bui is a visual development/background artist based in Los Angeles, CA. She has 3+ years experience in Animation and has worked with clients such as Nickelodeon, Netflix, Lex and Otis,...etc. She loves making matcha and daydreaming about having a motorcycle.
Natalie Smith
CREATIVE CONSULTANT and VISUAL DEVELOPMENT ARTIST
Natalie Smith is an author/illustrator who double-majored in International Studies & Comparative History of Ideas at the University of Washington. She also completed one year of intensive classical art studies at the Gage Academy of Art in Seattle. Natalie is a multi-disciplined artist & avid nonfiction reader who can comment on everything from modern color trends to Japanese history to honey bee dance languages. She is greatly enjoying her roles as Creative Consultant and Visual Development Artist for Smith Lodge Studios!
Ashley Burkart
SOUND DESIGNER
Ashley is a sonic artist passionate about the way audio can impact different types of media. Her journey began with playing instruments in school, sparking a special interest that led to a career in working with audio in many different forms. She often takes her equipment on hikes to record the sounds of nature, combining her for the outdoors with her craft. Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, she continues to expand her creative and technical skills. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, discovering new foods, and watching horror movies.
